The result of the Governo is increased glycerin, which enhances the fruity roundness and freshness of the wine. Opici Chianti is a vintage-dated D.O.C.G. dry red which can be enjoyed young, even chilled. | Fast foods, chicken, burgers, pizza, pasta with tomato based sauces.
Wine Enthusiast 88 points – Honeysuckle and lily aromas meet with crushed chalk, citrus pith and sliced pears on the nose of this bottling. There’s a solid sizzle and crispness to the palate, where cut pears, pineapple and lemongrass flavors arise..May/20 | There has been a distinct (and welcome to my taste) turn toward elegance and a fresher less ripe expression of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at Talbott in the last few vintages.
